Travel Softball

Guilderland offers one of the most competitive travel programs in upstate New York. Travel teams are formed at the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u levels. The rosters for these teams are determined by tryouts which are traditionally held in late-July / early-August. Once teams are formed, they remain together through the following summer. 

The full year commitment includes travel games (fall and spring/summer), local and out of town tournaments and practices. Each team's schedule varies and is set by the team manager.  

This is a competitive program and is distinctly different from the GGSL recreation program. Travel softball is available for players who want to further develop their softball skills, learn the game, and build friendships through softball.

Our travel teams’ practice and play their home games at Keenholts Park. Winter practices are held at our dedicated indoor travel facility. 

The registration fee for the 2024 - 2025 travel season is $425 for 8u, $525 for 10u and $625 for 12u & up.  Families have 2 options for payment; all at once due by September 1st or in two installments (due by September 1st and November 1st). Above and beyond the registration fee, each team / player will have fundraising obligations. The type of fundraising and amount of fundraising required will be set by the Manager and based on team expenses (tournaments, uniforms, equipment, etc..).
