Speaker: Ms. Atheer Yacoub, MS, RD, CPN, Director of UAlbany’s Center for Leadership & Service 


Description: Nutrition is widely known as what you eat but it goes beyond that. Nutrition is the food and drinks that an individual allows in their body to help with day-to-day activities. It is the ability to make healthier food choices that help maintain a healthy and balanced diet, which provides your body with the nutrients and energy needed.

2.22.21 - Succeeding As A Female Athlete

Speaker: Dr. Nicole Dutra, DPT


Description: Succeeding as a young female athlete Involves being able to balance all areas of one’s life. Juggling school, friends, family, and extracurricular activities as a pre-teen/teenager can be challenging at times. What does it take to balance all areas of a young female athlete’s life, while also being great at a sport they enjoy?

3.1.21 - Mental/Emotional Wellbeing

Description: To be a well-rounded athlete is to know how to cope when faced with the stress and pressures of the sport. Sports allow athletes to develop long lasting friendships, feel confident in their abilities, and allow them to become a positive influence in their respective community.

Speaker: Dr. Martha Asselin, Director of UAlbany’s Center for Leadership & Service


Description: Leadership comes in many forms whether on or off the field. To truly be a leader means to be able to learn how to trust, communicate, and work collaboratively to reach a common goal.
